civ issues
i was in the mood to play civ, so i popped in the disc and though oo wonder if any patches have been released
got the update and it proceeded to not play and give me errors. so i deinstalled and then tried to reinstall. konks out about 1/3 of the way thru and give me somehting about a duplication error.

im a model, you know what i mean and i do a little turn on the catwalk
yesterday i went downtown and got my hair styled by the lovely stylists of the john frieda salon tour. it was totally free and i got a big goody bag of freebies.
what was really cool was the stylist harry josh was there whose work ive seen in elle and hes the sylist for gisele bundchen the supermodel. he didnt do my hair, but heres the crazy part.
his assistant approached me to get my contact info, bc harry needs hair models for expos that he does. he loved my color and length and wanted to know if i was available and interested. the kicker was that he thought i was super cute to boot.
ive never really been validated by the fashion industry. my tastes run quirky and im not a size 0. but i still love it. editorials, seasons. its a fun hobby.
so when a supermodel's sylist really likes my look, i am shallowly and joyously flattered.

sass-a-frass
car broke on saturday leaving me stranded on the side of the road for 3 hours while I waited for a tow. The dirt and oil formed a sludge on my skin that I think I am still trying to erase. How I will survive Texas in August I have no idea. I've heard Austin is humid as well.
Turns out my alternator and battery need replacing, which I actually had done last year so thankfully the parts are under warranty. Why it broke so soon is a mystery to me. It was a yr to the day I had it replaced.
While replacing the alternator, the guy snapped my heat sensor so they have to replace that too. Otherwise the car would be in massive danger of overheating.
Michelle's ac is broken so she spent the nite. No heatstroke for her! I miss her as my roomie so much. Is there any girl I have loved so deeply and truly? I think not.

man that was an early flight back. i think i found an apt at a relatively reasonable price. they say cost of living is cheaper down there, but close to campus or downtown is pretty much the same as philly. you have to go out into the hills to see the rent rates fall dramatically. and at least for my first year, i wanted to be closer to campus and downtown. omg at the airport inside the terminal, there were vintage hats on display from this woman's collection. they were amazing. i took pictures of em all. http://www.ci.austin.tx.us/carver/exhibits.htm ; how crazy that such an awesome exhibit would be at the airport. | | 12:56 am |
